Course Objectives

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the green hydrogen value chain, fundamentals of hydrogen production, and project setups for green power procurement, including different combinations of wind/solar, electrolyzers, and batteries.
• Comprehend the contractual setups for green power procurement, including Hybrid Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), battery storage tolling agreements, and capacity sale agreements and understand the structure, terms and conditions, risk allocation, and mitigation measures associated with these setups.
• Apply their knowledge to assess and design contractual setups for green hydrogen transportation, covering pure hydrogen pipelines and blending in natural gas networks
• Understand the technical aspects, contractual setups, and associated risk allocation and mitigation measures.
• Critically analyze project setups for green hydrogen sale and supply agreements, considering different configurations such as electrolyzer-hydrogen/gas network-customer supply and electrolyzer-dedicated hydrogen pipeline-customer supply.
• Synthesize their knowledge across the entire value chain, understanding synergies across project and contractual setups.
• Develop the skills to overview and optimize contractual structures for green hydrogen projects, preparing them for the complexities of the global hydrogen market.
