Course Overview

Innovation is facing multiple challenges in our current business contexts, such as customer requirements changing rapidly and unexpectedly, lack of innovation strategy, inefficient end-to-end process and performance management with the related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), unclear innovation responsibilities and ownership, unpowerful tools and systems to support collaborative innovation, and unavailability on time of data to support the innovation process and decisions. These challenges, and others, heavily impact the achievement of the targeted performance related to that innovation, which can be in many forms, such as products, services, processes, and business models.

Rethinking the innovation model is a must to achieve the targeted performance. For this purpose, the key dimensions related to the innovation should be considered are customer experience for a customer-centric design, strategic aspects to define the innovation roadmap and its related projects while considering the customised solutions requests, the business and process management to master the innovation dynamic, the organisation and human capital to identify the innovation responsibilities and ownership, the tools and systems that allow efficient collaboration through supporting the innovation steps from ideation to implementation, and data management to support the innovation process decision-making.

This 5-day interactive Leading Business Innovation training course focuses on how to lead innovation systemically, considering all its key dimensions, to define the innovation roadmap, design and launch innovations and monitor the performance of the implemented innovations with the related decisions go/no go in a lean and agile way.

Course Objectives

This training course is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective innovation leaders within their organisations. It aims to help develop systemic and end-to-end thinking related to innovation while considering its key dimensions that will enable them to define the innovation roadmap, design and launch innovations, and monitor the performance of the launched innovations to make the right decisions that can be relaunching or retiring a given innovation.

After the training course, the participants will learn to:

  • Learn the current innovation challenges in more detail
  • Develop the systemic view related to the innovation and the key involved organisational functions
  • Understand, with practical examples, the key innovation dimensions
  • Master the steps of the end-to-end process “Manage innovation strategy (roadmap, customised requests)” with its key dimensions
  • Lead the end-to-end process “Design to Launch Innovation” with its key dimensions
  • Manage the end-to-end process “Monitor the Launched innovations” with its key dimensions
  • Know how marketing campaigns interact with the end-to-end innovation processes

Target Audience

This training course is designed for the company’s game changers and innovators in all the departments such as marketing, sales, IT and so on, strategists, and programme and project managers seeking to lead the end-to-end innovation processes.
